selfBryan's design background includes lighting and scenery for stage and television, major events, and web and graphics design. Recent events include production designer for the kickoff of Yale University's three billion dollar Yale>>Tomorrow campaign, as well as other fundraisers and events for non-profits.

Web designs include Silicon Informatics, Inc, a high-tech startup manufacturing deskside supercomputers for the medical research fields.

Recent stage designs include A First Class Man with AlterEgo, Blood Wedding with Woodshed Collective, Lobby Hero at Portland Stage Co, The Cherry Orchard at CSC, Comedy of Errors at Yale Repertory Theatre, Trojan Women at Dryfoos, Romeo and Juliet at SPI,  Arms of Baby Jesus at Abingdon, and many premiers including Dance of the Holy Ghost, Alice Eat Your Words, Mirror, Mirror, and Jesus Moonwalks on the Mississippi, Psyche in Love, The Home, Klytemnestra’s Unmentionables, and others by award winning playwrights such as Marcus Gardley, Wendy Wasserstein, David Henry Hwang, Alena Smith,

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Michele Rittenhouse, Bradford Louryk, and Jamie O’Brien.

Bryan has been a guest artist or teacher at Vassar College, Princeton University, Yale University, and Columbia University.

Recent Assisting or Associate positions include Bernarda Alba at Lincoln Center Theater, Singing Forest and The Front Page at The Long Wharf Theater, Tazie at the Lincoln Center Festival, and Paul Taylor at New York City Center, with designers such as Jennifer Tipton, Stephen Strawbridge, Gleb Filtchinsky, Kenny Schutz, and others.

Bryan also has many dance credits, including as the Resident Associate at Kaatsbaan Center for International Dance, where he has worked with companies such as Buglesi-Foreman, American Project Theater (Robert Hill), Pascal Rioult, Monte-Brown, Jose Limon, ABT2, and ensembles from City Ballet, ABT, and others. Bryan is also a designer for Mikhail Baryshnikov's Mavado Hour series, working with collaboraters such as Phillip Glass.

Bryan received his MFA in lighting design from Yale University School of Drama.
